Oh Brother!

A few days ago
I was told by mother
that I was getting
a little brother.

I didn't mind his
coming to stay,
I thought we'd have fun
and fight and play.

I'd give him a hug
if he was sad
and cheer him with tricks
on mom and dad.

I'd share my room,
it is big enough,
and tell him to never
touch my stuff.

But nice as I am
and hard as I try,
this brother does nothing
but eat and cry.

Featuring: a new nephew
and the baby blanket I made for him

Tomorrow and for the whole of next
I'll be in France.
I'll miss you all.

  9. It won't be long until his eyes will be following big brother constantly. Our son tells our 4 year old granddaughter that she will always be her little sister's most important teacher.

I'm excited--looking forward to your charming photo stories of time in France!
