Yaffa from Jaffa

Yaffa is a small Arabic book store and coffee shop in Jaffa

They offer Arabic classes and musical events and more

not just a coffee shop at all

But I only know it as the place to stop by

when I visit my brother who lives around the corner

and I always enjoy it

Date Delights

I made these date delights rolled in coconut

from a simple and reasonably healthy recipe 

I used some of them for a small hostess gift

wrapped in a box I folded from an old calendar

points for recycling to me :-)

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Winter has made a very earnest appearance already

and I've had a whole pile of woolen bits and ends

so I made this hot water bottle cosy

Simple Ideas are the best!

 

I'm on a mission to to simplify things

and as I spend way too much time gift-wrapping

I was very pleased to come across this little tip - 

use a cupcake liner instead of fabric to decorate jars

what could be more simple?

The cookies are my Grandmother's Yaffa's world famous onion cookies

And they are yummie!

Pillow Talk

I'm finally back from my blog-vacation

took a bit longer than I've initially planned

But I'm fresh and energized and full of ideas

so I hope that it was a good thing

To begin with I'm showing a new crochet pillow

and my niece Dana - didn't she grow while I was away?
