We Heart Pizza

Saturday we gathered at my parents' house
and my mom made her world famous pizza

We took three old construction plans (recycling!) that my brother uses for work, turned them into a table-cloth and drew on them with markers. We began with pizzas but then we branched out (chapeau to the person who drew a watermelon slice as we had that as well but where did the burgers and fries come from?). After the meal we played tic-tac-toe on it.

Black is Back

My excellent niece Michal surprised me with a gift -
coat hangers that she painted on her little drawings.

Even the wrapping paper matched!

Getting Ready for Summer

I made covers both for the lemonade jar
and for my enormous white mug

It takes all day to finish the tea so it does need to be covered. Also, I pulled apart a couple of old bracelets and used the beads for the lining so there is a bit of recycling going on here as well

In the Skip

Found this small wooden crate in the skip

and thought it could be just the thing for these two poor bears who've been languishing in a dark corner for a couple of years now. They seem to appreciate it and have cheered up considerably

Passover Has Been Passed

Passover is, thankfully, behind us
and all that is left now is to enjoy the time off work

It took longer to set the table than it did to read the Hagada, but that is the nature of things. I continued the palette of pink-green-creamy white into the wrapping of my parents' gift. And to add a special touch I sewed together some ribbons and embellished them with needlework, buttons and little odds and ends.
