Mini-Aquarium

I thought it was time to do something with one of the
dvd boxes we have lying around

I enlisted my crafty niece Michal (8) and together we turned it into an aquarium. We made cardboard fishes and hang them from the clear plastic cover and Michal, who is quite enthusiastic about reptiles since stoking a snake at a recent trip to the zoo, made a couple of menacing eels for the bottom, to add drama to the occasion. Sorry the photos aren't all they should be.

Things to Come

I wanted to show you a 'photo-shoot' I did with my beautiful niece
Dana (3) to showcase a couple of baby blankets that I made

My equally beautiful niece Roni (12) did the styling
for both the model and the shoot, we are keeping it in-house

Here We Go

I've decided to start blogging
to share mostly my crafts but also snippets of my life

My crafts are usually fiber-based, knitting and needlework, using whenever possible vintage or recycled materials. To this end I thought I'd start by showing you a silly little something I made when my parents came back from London and brought me a pretty egg cup set from Cath Kidston and marmalade from Fortnum&Mason (excellent gifts!). The wheels are made from wine bottle corks.
